Amy and Ryan’s September wedding day turned out to be a warm and gorgeous one. The entire day felt kindhearted and sweet. Instead of postponing, Amy and Ryan chose to marry on their original wedding date and celebrated with just their parents and siblings. Their micro wedding was simply perfect – incredibly loving and beautiful and to quote the bride… “the best day ever!” Amy got ready at her parent’s house and when I arrived, she was finishing up with her talented hair and makeup team. 80s tunes (some of my favorites!) were playing and the mood was very relaxed. Amy had beautiful details, including something blue, old, and borrowed – blue heart in her shoe, grandmother’s purse and her mother’s veil! Before the ceremony, Amy’s mom helped her dress at the house, followed by Amy sharing a sweet first look with her dad in the backyard. Next, we headed to the ceremony site, St. Peter’s Catholic Church. The ceremony included readings by Ryan’s mom and Amy’s brother and giving flowers to Virgin Mary. After the ceremony, we took family formals at the church. On their way back, Amy and Ryan were surprised to find a car had been decorated by her aunt & uncle and matron of honor! I could tell they were equally surprised and delighted to see them! We then headed back to Amy’s parent’s house for bride and groom portraits. The afternoon sun was still very bright but perfectly shaded and pretty in the backyard, allowing us to capture some beautiful images for the happy couple! I have loved spending time with Amy and Ryan throughout this entire process from their consultation meeting to engagement session to their big day. They are a thoughtful, kind duo, and I wish them a truly happily ever after!
