I met Lesli for their consultation meeting at a local coffee shop and her vision for their small wedding immediately resonated with me. Candid moments (v.s. posed photos) and capturing connections & love was a priority. The happy couple were engaged in July, and Andrew managed to keep the proposal a complete surprise! Near the end of what seemed like a typical day, and as they were enjoying a nice bottle of wine Andrew bent down on one knee. Lesli thought he was talking to their dog Duchess! She had no idea he was about to surprise her with the most gorgeous engagement ring, scroll down to see the beautiful sparkler. And of course she said yes! Andrew and Lesli’s October engagement session took place in their beloved Old Town Alexandria. We began at the Carlyle House with three little ones joining us for family pictures. Afterward, we stopped by some iconic Old Town spots, including cobblestone streets, brick alleyways, and the waterfront. I had a lovely time photographing this couple, and I’m excited to see them again very soon to celebrate their big day!
