Fantastic! To reserve your date, a completed contract and a $100 non-refundable retainer are required. I'll send you a link to a Booking Proposal and the process can easily be completed online. The remaining balance will be due on or before the scheduled session time.
We love your work and we’re ready to book! What’s the next step?
Unless you've modeled professionally, you're probably going to feel awkward in front of the camera. Heck, I take photos for a living and I even feel like a deer in the headlights when I'm in front of the camera. You're going to feel awkward at first, but as the session goes on and I coach you through images, I think you'll find that being photographed can actually be fun. And don't worry about your kids. As a mom of two boys, I'm well versed in capturing even the busiest of little ones.

No one wants to look like a wet dog in their photos so if it looks like it's going to rain, snow, hail or some other weather catastrophe, I'll be in touch via email or phone to reschedule.
Often, when scheduling our initial portrait session date, if it works for our calendars, we'll actually set up both a main date and a rain date just to make sure we don't have to postpone your session for very long if the weather is bad on the original date.
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
Within two weeks of your session, you'll receive a link to a digital gallery that will allow you to download high resolution images.
The gallery is also set up to make ordering prints, canvases and other keepsakes as easy as turning on a Roomba to clean your floors. No worrying about tricky things like color correction, DPI and image format.
How will we receive our photos?
For the best light, I prefer scheduling our session either at sunrise or two hours before sunset. I understand with small children this may not always be possible, so we can always adjust the start time as necessary!
WHAT TIME OF THE DAY SHOULD WE SCHEDULE OUR SESSION?
Our furry friends are the best! Please feel free to include your pets in the session! Please bring treats and water, and if possible, a friend along to help!
CAN WE BRING OUR PET?
I love photographing multigenerational and extended families! Vacations, reunions, holidays, and anniversary celebrations provide the perfect opportunities to schedule a professional portrait session. An additional fee of $25 per person above 7 people will apply.
We are interested in an extended family session. is this something you photograph?
Yes, absolutely! If you've always dreamed of a session in D.C. by the National Monuments, let’s do it! The backdrops are absolutely breathtaking! These sessions are scheduled at sunrise only but they
are worth getting up early! A $140 photography permit is required by the National Park Service for these sessions.
