When I met Rachel at a local coffee shop for her consultation, it was like talking to an old friend. I loved chatting with her about how she met her fiancé Brian, and their proposal story. Who would have guessed that Rachel getting lost after a Nationals Game in 2016 and being helped by a sweet police officer would turn into a beautiful love story?
Brian planned to propose during a summer vacation at the beach. The secret became a little hard to keep, as family members anxiously kept calling to see if he had popped the question yet. All ended as hoped – with her saying “yes”!
We initially talked about a spring engagement session with cherry blossoms but then…2020. So they decided to postpone it until the fall. I met Rachel and Brian on a beautiful fall day in Old Town Alexandria. We started their session at the iconic Wilkes Street Tunnel and then headed to the cobblestone street of Captain’s Row. Rachel is a planner – a girl after my own heart – and I can’t wait to see her vision of a romantic and whimsical wedding day come to life! They’ve picked a date in spring and will celebrate at the Tidewater Inn. I’m thrilled I’ll be there to capture the memories for this wonderful couple!
