You know what they say in 2020…Third date’s the charm? Shannon and Noel’s original wedding date was in May, but for obvious reasons they postponed until October. Upon realizing the pandemic wasn’t ending anytime soon, they decided to wait no longer and tie the knot in September! This third date was Labor Day weekend, and they planned an intimate ceremony involving their parents and Noel’s grandmother. Shannon and Noel met in graduate school and fittingly the ceremony was officiated by their favorite college professor. Personally, I think they couldn’t have picked a better date — as September 5th just happens to be mine & Donovan’s wedding anniversary as well!! The wedding took place at a unique AirBnB in Baltimore — a venue with the most amazing rooftop views!!!! Admittedly, photographing an entire wedding…from getting ready and ceremony, to details and bride & groom portraits…in a space barely 12 feet wide was a challenge, but you can see it worked out perfectly! The ceremony was set outside in the downstairs patio. Family and friends tuned in via Zoom to watch Shannon and Noel say “I do”! After family pictures, we climbed to the rooftop for portraits! It was an absolutely gorgeous evening and so fitting with what seems to be my theme with these two — pictures on the rooftops of Baltimore (check out their engagement photos HERE)! After portraits, the newlyweds partook in their first dance, followed by father-daughter and mother-son dances (on the rooftop, of course)! Shannon and Noel had brewed their own wedding beer for the occasion and as the sun set on Baltimore, the reception celebration was in full-swing. While no date has been set yet, the couple plans a larger wedding celebration down the road, and can I selfishly say I’m excited I get to photograph this lovely couple one more time?
