Sugarloaf Mountain Engagement Session // Emily + Elliot

Emily and Elliot met four years ago while both were working at Home Depot. They each attended Towson University and now Elliot works in IT and Emily in Media & Film! I think she and I were equally excited about the amazing light we experienced during their session! Elliot proposed in August with a gorgeous ring that came all the way from Israel. To make the proposal completely unforgettable, he recruited the help of their friend Hannah to film the happy occasion. Elliot took Emily to the local gardens, and by the lily pads he asked the all-important question… and of course she said “yes”! I was introduced to this delightful duo through one of my 2020 couples – Mary and Zach.

When we started considering locations for their engagement session, Emily was open to options but was hoping for an outdoor/natural look and feel. We agreed on Sugarloaf Mountain, and it turned out to be the perfect choice for this outdoorsy couple! While it was a brisk 40 degrees and partly cloudy, we ended up getting some beautiful light throughout the afternoon and the prettiest pink sunset! A closed trail altered our plans and resulted in a “slightly longer” than planned hike, but these two persevered with smiles on their faces! Winter sessions are not for everyone but these two came prepared (hello hand-warmers!), and they completely rocked theirs! Congratulations Emily and Elliot, I’m so excited for you and can’t wait for the wedding later this year!
